Talk About Being Too Trusting With Strangers!
I bid for a snow board for my fiancée for his birthday as he had always wanted to learn the sport at our local snow dome centre where you can have lessons, I booked him some lessons also I finally won the bid for the board and was just waiting for the delivery. I received and email from the seller privately who advised me I would need to give him more money for the board as the postage was a lot more than he anticipated. I normally would not have done anything privately as it can be dangerous when dealing with money but I wanted to make sure the delivery came in time for his special day. I put another twenty pounds into his account and waited. A week went by and no snow board! I tried to email him again but it was returned saying it wasn’t possible to deliver the email! Great, I thought, I now need to call ebay to tell them. They asked what my enquiry was about and I told them a problem with ebay seller and they put me through to the right department. Unfortunately it had all been a scam and I had no way of getting my total of £320 back as I had not been sensible and see that I shouldn’t have done anything privately with a seller!
